Boost Your Executive Skills and Function Like a Champ in School, July 9-19, 1-4pm (no Fridays):

Executive Functioning skills help us decide what tasks to start next, how long to work on a task, and they enable us to follow through with task completion, all the while choosing what is important enough for us to attend to.  In school, these skills help students plan for future assignments, sustain attention to tasks, and stay organized. For some students, these tasks are like climbing a mountain: you don’t know where or how to start! If difficulty in any of these areas limits your student’s success in the classroom, he or she may benefit from skill development in the area of Executive Functioning. $480

This two-week course may be partnered with the Learn to EmPOWER™ your Writing Skills course offered at Summit on the same dates from 9am-noon. Both courses, $960.

In addition to the two-week high school success courses in July, students will have the opportunity to work with teachers trained to employ the EmPOWER™ writing process and “executive coaches” during the regular school year through our Summit Outreach program. Please ask about e-tutoring possibilities to work around your student’s busy high school schedule.
