Greene Turtle Locations to Host Special Olympics Fundraiser

The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille will host the first ever 'Mega Mug Club Plunge' on Thursday, January 26 at Sandy Point State Park.

From Maroon PR: The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille® announced it will host the first ever Mega Mug Club Plunge on Thursday, January 26. This will be the first pre-plunge event for this year’s Special Olympics Maryland Polar Bear Plunge, taking place January 26 – 28.

For $75, Mug Club members will get the opportunity to plunge as a group and party through the night, courtesy of The Greene Turtle. The entire cost to participate will be donated to Special Olympics Maryland and their efforts to raise $2.5 million to be the leader in lifelong and unified sports programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities, empowering athletes to be valued members of their community and respected members of society. For those who would like to participate and are not members of The Greene Turtle’s Mug Club, the cost for the event will cover their new membership. The party will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the group plunge taking place at 5:30 p.m. The party continues after the plunge until 8:00 p.m. with a live broadcast from 98 Rock, food, beer, a Crush station and more at no additional charge. As an added incentive to plunge, plungers will receive a pullover from The Greene Turtle, a commemorative 21st Annual Plunge sweatshirt and a towel. Additional raffle prizes will be given out throughout the night.

The Greene Turtle’s Mug Club is an opportunity for beer lovers to own a piece of The Greene Turtle. By joining the Mug Club, members receive $1 off every draft, Mug Club member privileges at every location, access to monthly member-only Mug Club events, exclusive member offers and Greene Turtle Reward points with every purchase.
