Lothian Dash In Store Robbed: Police

Anne Arundel County Police say a man who suggested he had a weapon held up the Lothian Dash In convenience store.

LOTHIAN, MD — Anne Arundel County Police are searching for a man who robbed the Lothian Dash In store early Monday morning. The robbery was reported just before 2 a.m. at the store, 1378 Mt. Zion-Marlboro Road in Lothian.

The store clerk told officers that a man entered the store, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. Once the clerk turned over the cash, the suspect fled from the store.

Authorities say no weapon was displayed and the clerk was not hurt during the confrontation.

Officers searched for the suspect with help from the police K9 unit, but were unable to locate the robber. The suspect is described as a black man in his late 20’s, 5’9” to 5’10” tall, with a thin build, wearing dark clothing.

Dash In stores have been a target in recent months around the county. In October, the Dash In on Quarterfield Road in Severn was robbed by a man who fled in a red sedan. Police released a surveillance camera image of the suspect.

And on Oct. 18, police arrested Michael Delbert Friend, 30, of no fixed address, for robbing the Dash In store at 8895 Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena. After Anne Arundel County Police released a surveillance image of the suspect, several tips were received from the public with a possible identity of the robber.
