Anne Arundel County Police say Corporal Larry Adams continues to improve at a Baltimore hospital.

Anne Arundel County Police shared a photo of the officer recovering from a gunshot wound after he likely interrupted the robbery of a 7-Eleven store in Annapolis.
Corporal Larry Adams continues to recover at University of Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore and was shown with his wife, Ritu, and the owner of 7-Eleven, who stopped by to visit.

Ritu Adams on Monday thanked the public for its support during their ordeal, while law enforcement officials shared details about the armed confrontation and a second arrest.
“Thank you everybody for your love, support, prayers,” said an emotional Ritu Adams at the press conference. “You never think this is going to happen to you. … We’re very, very touched by all of your love and your support and all the positive wishes and prayers. My kids thank you also.”

An online fundraising page set up to help the Adams family with expenses says he was shot in the neck. Adams and his wife have two young children.
Adams was shot in the upper body in an area that is not covered by his police vest, WTOP reports.
Facebook readers sent their well-wishes to Adams and his family.
Margie Harris wrote: “Prayers for speedy recovery and THANK YOU so very much for you service to our County.”
And Steven Cooper posted, “The owner of 7-11 has always been a friend and class act. Thank you so much Mr. Pinto!”
Police spokesman Lt. T.J. Smith said officers on Friday arrested Colvin Lamar White, 30 of Annapolis, who was a suspect because of information Adams collected before he was shot.
White is being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center without bond on charges of attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and other charges.
On Sunday, police arrested Danielle Nicole Blake, 29, of Severn who was charged with conspiracy to commit attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, and four other charges, reports the Capital-Gazette. She is also being held without bond.
Smith said White and Blake have children together.
