The South County Senior Center in Edgewater announces the following upcoming events:

Watershed Protection & Restoration Program/Fee Explained
When: May 6, 1 p.m.
Details: A representative from the county's Department of Public Works be available to explain the necessity of the new fee and describe how the money will be spent.

Plant Sale
When: May 7-9, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Details: This annual event is a fundraiser for our “Hearts of Gold FUNdraisers.” Come choose from a huge selection of hanging baskets, hibiscus, mandevilla, herbs, small planters and the "Garden Shed Flea Market," all at bargain prices.

Heritage Harbour Chorus
When: May 13, 1 p.m.
Details: The group will perform a spring concert.

Housing Opportunities for Seniors in Anne Arundel County
When: May 13, 1 p.m.
Details: Marie Simpson, a Certified Senior Real Estate Specialist, will provide her popular update on 55-plus housing communities, and options for aging in place.

The Changing News World
