South River Field Hockey Coach Steps Down
After eight seasons, South River High's field hockey coach Katie Corcoran is stepping down.

After leading her team to a Class 4A state title in November, South River High’s head field hockey coach Katie Corcoran is stepping down to spend more time with her family.
Corcoran has spent eight seasons at South River and lead the team to a state title in 2005 and 2012. Her assistant, Megan Atkinson will take over as head coach.
“We are extremely grateful to the service that Katie Corcoran has provided South River High School’s field hockey program,” said Athletic Director David Kingel. “Her integrity, sportsmanship, and performance over the past eight years has continued the programs long history of success. We wish Katie the best in her family endeavors and she will always be welcome back as a resource to our program.”
