ThinkTank Education and Therapy Now Open

The new education center recently opened up on Mayo Road.

Thinktank Education and Therapy just opened in Edgewater in June and is already filling up one-on-one tutoring sessions.

Riva native and South River High graduate Stephanie Lowery opened Thinktank on June 3 at 244E Mayo Rd.

Thinktank is an all-inclusive tutoring center that performs comprehensive education and psychological evaluations and assessments, Lowery said. The center also specializes in helping kids with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). In September, Lowery plans to launch meditation workshops for kids and adults with ADD.

“At Thinktank, we have a long-term goal for helping children succeed in school and in their lives at home, especially those struggling with ADD,” Lowery said. “This is not just about getting better grades on a test or memorizing facts. Our mission is to help children understand and utilize their strengths, build back their confidence and create life long learners.”

Lowery is a former teacher and a mother of three, she said that her dual perspective of parent and teacher plays a vital role in her ability to help kids learn.

“I have a teacher's perspective as well as a parents perspective, so I can really sympathize with parents that come in feeling that they are at a loss as to how to help their child,” Lowery said.
