• Sentences handed down in murder of 18-year-old killed during attempted robbery in Glen Burnie (wmar2news.com) — An Elkridge 18-year-old has been sentenced to life, with all but 25 years suspended, for his role in a 2025 attempted robbery and killing in Glen Burnie. Another Baltimore teen received a similar sentence after investigators tied both to the crime using surveillance, phone records, and DNA evidence. 
• Education advocates to legislature: No cuts to Blueprint education plan (marylandmatters.org) — Parents, educators, and advocates gathered at the Elkridge Branch Library to urge lawmakers not to cut funding for Maryland's Blueprint education reform plan amid a looming budget shortfall. Speakers discussed local challenges like staffing, class sizes, and pre-K expansion while advocacy groups prepared tax and policy proposals to keep the multibillion-dollar plan on track.
