Suspect IDed In Route 1 Armed Robbery: HoCo Police

Does this man look familiar? There's a warrant for his arrest in connection with a cafe holdup, Howard County police report.

JESSUP, MD — Police have announced a reward for information about the suspect in an armed robbery on Route 1 in Howard County.

Authorities say they have a warrant for the arrest of John Ciri Gray, 20, in the holdup of Maria's Baja Café.

The robbery occurred at 8:24 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, and subsequent investigation led detectives to identify Gray as the suspect, according to police.

He allegedly showed a gun and demanded money from two employees at the restaurant in the 7800 block of Washington Boulevard, then left after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash. Nobody was injured.

There is a warrant out for Gray's arrest charging him with armed robbery, robbery, first and second-degree assault, using a firearm in a felony crime and theft, according to police.

Officials said Wednesday that they have not been able to find Gray and are offering a $500 reward for information.
