20-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies Following Triadelphia Crash: Police

The man lived in the Grovemont subdivision off Landing Road.

A motorcyclist died after a crash on Triadelphia Road over the weekend, the Howard County Police Department reported.

Patrick James Moynihan, 20, of Grovemont Drive in Elkridge, was driving a 2008 Honda CBR 600RR motorcycle that collided with a 2014 Ford Escape at 2:30 pm. on Saturday, police said.

The crash occurred on Triadelphia Road near Walt Ann Drive, according to police.

Police said Moynihan was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead at 4:42 p.m. on Sunday.

Moynihan was speeding and had crossed the double-yellow line on Triadelphia Road just before the crash, police said.

The driver of the Ford Escape was not injured, according to police.
