3 Residents Displaced By House Fire In Ellicott City, 3 Departments Battled Blaze

Three residents have been displaced by a house fire that broke out Jan. 5 in Ellicott City.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — On Jan. 5 around 8:30 p.m., a fire broke out on the first floor of an Ellicott City home.

Firefighters arrived at the home located in the 3500 block of Kingston Court to find the single-family home with fire showing from the front of the building. They discovered that the fire extended from the first floor down to the ceiling of the basement. It took firefighters from three department approximately 30 minutes to gain control of the fire, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

No injuries were reported but three residents were displaced. The fire is being investigated by the Maryland State Office of the Fire Marshal.
