• Career And Technical Education Center Opens In Ellicott City (patch.com) — Ellicott City students now have access to an expanded, state-of-the-art Career and Technical Education Center that serves all Howard County high schools. The renovated facility adds classrooms, upgraded systems, and more Career Academy seats, helping reduce waitlists and giving local teens more chances to earn college credit or industry certifications while still in high school.
   

• Hall Of Fame Spotlight: Taylor Cummings - University of Maryland Athletics (umterps.com) — An Ellicott City native, lacrosse star Taylor Cummings is being inducted into the Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame this October after a record-setting career at the University of Maryland. Growing up just 45 minutes from College Park, she became a three-time Tewaaraton winner, national champion, coach, and broadcaster who continues to inspire young players across the state.
