Bel Air Pays Respects to Fallen Paramedic in Howard County

To honor Captain Erik Steciak, who served as a paramedic in Bel Air and West Friendship, firefighters from near and far showed up in Howard County to pay their respects at a viewing on Friday, Jan. 16.

Steciak died Jan. 6 in the line of duty, working as a paid paramedic with the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responding to a call for service during a snowstorm.

Friday’s viewing was the first of two; the second will be Saturday in Bel Air, while a funeral service will be Sunday in Howard County. Get viewing and funeral information here.
