Warbler Hike
WSSC and Howard County Bird Club are sponsoring an easy hike to see warblers in their spring colors on Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to Noon at Pig Tail Recreation Area, 5600 Green Bridge Road, Dayton.
The Howard County Bird Club and Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission are hosting a Warbler Hike at Pig Tail Recreation Area, 5600 Green Bridge Road, Dayton, MD from 8 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, May 4. Expert birders will point out the songbirds that will be in their spring colors to attract a mate. Visitors participating in past warbler hikes have seen Black-Throated Green Warblers, Palm Warblers and Yellow Warblers. Wildflowers will also to be in bloom. Free admission, but visitors may want to wear sturdy footwear and long pants to avoid mud and thorns. The hike is on flat dirt roads. For more information, contact WSSC at 301-206-8233.
