GoFundMe Set Up To Help Howard County Double Homicide Victims' Children
A GoFundMe memorial account has been established for the children of the double homicide victims in Howard County last week.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Becoming an adult can seem daunting, but doing it alone after the sudden and devastating loss of your parents can feel insurmountable. On Sept. 30, Kelly and Brian Robinette of Ellicott City were shot to death by Brian's brother Jeffrey Burnham, who also killed an 83-year-old woman, police say. The Robinettes had adopted Jenna and Griffin who now must transition into adulthood without the guidance of their parents.
To help them out, the Robinettes' friends have established a GoFundMe to support the pair. According to the GoFundMe page, the funds will help them "manage costs associated with the unexpected loss of their parents." Their friends described Kelly Robinette as having an "infectious laugh" and Brian Robinette with a "dry sense of humor." Both "brightened our lives."
Brian Robinette, 58, and Kelly Robinette, 57, were found in their home by authorities who were searching for Burnham, who has since been charged with the three murders. The 46-year-old suspect was arrested last Friday in West Virginia. Police have said they believe all three of Burnham's victims were targeted, but no possible motive has been released.
