Howard County High Schooler Launches Charity-Improv Show To Help Immigrant Kids

A Howard County high schooler has launched a charity-improv show to provide support for immigrant children at the southern border.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A Hammond High School junior has launched a fundraiser to help local kids that draws upon his interest in improv.

"I wake up every day, and I feel so lucky. I feel so, so privileged," Sebastian Hurt, a junior, told WMAR.

Hurt's charity-improv show, called Laughing Matters, raised funds at the door and online. The money will go to immigrant children in need through a charity called KIND (Kids in Need of Defense), helps pay for lawyers for those children at the southern border.
