Howard County Public Schools Make Weather Decision For Thursday

BREAKING: The Howard County Public School System has modified its schedule for Thursday, Jan. 4.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD -- Public schools in Howard County and school offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 4. School officials made the announcement Thursday morning.

All evening activities are canceled, including high school athletic practices, games and events held in schools that are sponsored by schools and/or communities.

The decision to close is an update to the previous announcement Wednesday night that schools would open two hours late. School officials said they would reevaluate conditions Thursday morning; and upon doing so, they determined schools would be closed for the day.
