DOJ Says Baltimore Co. Discriminates In Hiring Cops: Reports

The U.S. Department of Justice filed suit against Baltimore County on Tuesday over alleged discrimination in the hiring of police officers. In the federal lawsuit, the DOJ's Civil Rights Division accuses the county of using a written exam to screen out African-Americans applicants seeking entry-level positions in the Police Department, say media reports.

New Baltimore Bus Route To Serve Guinness Brewery

A new bus line will serve thirsty visitors to Baltimore who want to sample the latest beers offered at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery. The Maryland Transit Administration on Sept. 1 will begin a year-long pilot program involving a bus route from downtown to the brewery.
