Marriottsville Man Stabbed In Random Attack In His Garage: Police
Howard County Police say a 57-year-old Marriottsville man was taking out his trash when Jonathan Logan, 28, began stabbing him.
MARRIOTTSVILLE, MD — A 28-year-old Baltimore man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault and burglary after Howard County Police say he stabbed a man in his Marriottsville garage Wednesday night. Police believe it was a random attack.
The suspect, Jonathan Logan, is being held without bond at the Howard County Detention Center.
At approximately 9:37 p.m., police responded to 11100 block of Willow Green Way for a report of a man stabbed. They found 57-year-old Gary Polinsky in his home suffering from stab wounds to the abdomen. He reported that he was in his attached garage taking out the trash when he was approached by an unknown male suspect wearing a ski mask who began stabbing him. The suspect then fled on foot.

Polinsky was taken by helicopter to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he
is listed in critical condition. Police located Logan walking in the area and recovered a bloody folding knife and ski mask in his pocket. Preliminarily, police believe there is no connection between the suspect and the victim and they are continuing to investigate a motive.
