• Driver dies after SUV strikes tree in Ellicott City, police say (dcnewsnow.com) — A driver was killed late Friday when his SUV left Ilchester Road between Jeans Way and Bonnie Branch Road in Ellicott City and struck a tree, closing the road for about two and a half hours. Howard County police say the man, who was alone in the vehicle, died at the scene and investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash.
