Propane Truck Fire Reported in Ellicott City

The fire broke out near Plum Tree Drive.

Firefighters responded to a truck fire on US Route 40 in Ellicott City Friday morning.

The driver of a propane truck had just loaded up on propane for the day when a small fire erupted under the cab, according to West Friendship Volunteer Fire Company. The incident happened at Route 40/Baltimore National Pike at Plum Tree Drive.

Firefighters reported just after 7:30 a.m. that the truck driver put out the blaze with a fire extinguisher.
