Police said that investigators have identified a potential cause in the crash that killed a Middle River woman on Friday, Nov. 23.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A driver died in a crash on Friday afternoon that police said may have stemmed from a medical emergency. Authorities responded to a call for an erratic driver in a silver Subaru around 3:23 p.m on Friday, Nov. 23.

Janet Anne Walper, 73, of the 1100 block of Chester Road, was pronounced deceased at the scene on Eastern Avenue west of Oliver Beach Road, police said.

Investigators said Walper was driving the Subaru on Eastern Avenue when it hit two mailboxes and a BGE utility pole west of Oliver Beach Road before rolling over and throwing her from the car. Walper had not been wearing a seat belt, according to authorities.
