• 25 People Evacuated After Amtrak Train Catches Fire In Essex (patch.com) — An Amtrak train caught fire in Essex Thursday evening, forcing 25 passengers to evacuate near Canberra Drive and Waterview Way and leaving two people with minor injuries. Baltimore County firefighters quickly contained the blaze, allowed riders back onto unaffected cars, and cleared the train to continue to its next stop after halting rail traffic during the response.
