• 25 People Evacuated After Amtrak Train Catches Fire In Essex (patch.com) — An Amtrak train carrying 189 passengers caught fire in Essex near Canberra Drive and Waterview Way, forcing 25 people to evacuate and leaving two with minor injuries. Baltimore County firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and allowed passengers to return to unaffected cars, with the train later cleared to continue to its next stop. Officials have not yet said what caused the fire.
