Dance Festival Promises to Gather More than 7.000 People.

If you are looking for a great event to spend a few days of summer not at the beach, look no more. The 2012 DC Bachata & International Latino Festival will be celebrating its fourth year with renowned instructors, performers, and Djs. The festival is set for Aug 9-12 in the Washington Hilton Hotel in D.C.

The Latino affair gathered 5.000 people last year, and promises to have minimum of 7.000 attendees this year. It is produced by Lee "El Gringuito" and Kat "La Gata". Together they put together an event with more than 75 workshops from beginners to advanced dancers.

The Bachata DC & International Latino Festival has champions for all over the world, this year they have the mambo, salsa, cumbia, and bachata world champions.

“We bring the best of the best instructors…The biggest thing people look forward is to work with these world champions. Professionals who are really top of the line,most recognized dancers.” Says Kat “La Gata”. “But we have anywhere from local to international performers.” 

They met at Lee's bachata meet up, an online meeting group for people with same interests, and have been inseparable since 2009, traveling around the world to participate in dance festivals and teaching in more than 600 cities over the last seven years.
