Coping with stress is a challenge for most people. You cannot control anxiety  overload from the environment but you can control how you respond to it.

Yoga offers natural therapy for stress, because it activates the parasympathetic nervous system- the part of our nervous system responsible for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Yoga builds greater inner calm, enabling you to deal with pressures and tension in a more constructive way- by using your body, mind, and breathing.

Find some yoga studio near you or buy the DVD for beginners and DO IT! To get more benefits for your health it is very important to practice yoga regularly. It will strengthen and purifies the nervous system plus release the toxins from your body what is very important for overall health. You might refer to my previous posts for more information on health benefits from different yoga postures.

There are many yoga styles those days such as Ashtanga Vinyasa, Kundalini, Dahn, Bikram and many others.  All of them derived from Hatha and Raja Yoga systems and all of them designed to benefit the body, mind and the overall spirit.

I have been practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga for a long time and am completely in love this style. If you are a beginner and thinking to start practice Yoga- do some research online on different styles and see what fits you the most.

You might try my gentle yoga class which I recently started offering in Old Town Gaithersburg at ProFIT Club fitness studio. Feel free to post any questions or visit me at the studio http://profitclubmd.com

Namaste.
