Duck Race Festival

The Arc Montgomery County is sponsoring a Duck Race Festival on Sunday, October 2, from 1-4 pm at the Rio at Washingtonian Center.  Fun, free activities and entertainment will be available for children and adults, and the highlight will be the duck race at 3 pm.  Five thousand bright yellow rubber ducks will be dropped into the lake and the first ones to cross the finish line will win cash prizes for the lucky person who adopted them.  To learn more or to adopt ducks, please visit www.duckrace.com/montgomery.  The Arc will use the funds raised from this event to help provide services to local residents affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.
