Ecosystem Conservation Society - Japan: Delegation Visit to the City of Gaithersburg

A Japanese delegation of six will tour Gaithersburg to explore environmental initiatives in an urban setting.  They will be accompanied by a translator.

2 p.m.   Hidden Creek/Land Bay III – Walkable Community and Bluebird House Initiative

3 p.m. Observatory Park – Relationship between Latitude Observatories in Gaithersburg, Maryland and Mizusawa, Japan

3:30 p.m. Bohrer Park – Pathway system and general programming

4:10 p.m.  Izaak Walton League – Rain Garden Program and Control of Invasive Plants using Goats

The event is being coordinated by the City of Gaithersburg Planning & Code Administration (Environmental Services and Planning) and the Department of Parks, Recreation & Culture.
