GALLERY: Lady Trojans Trounce BCC 56-28
Gaithersburg remains undefeated, extends their winning streak to 43.
The undefeated Gaithersburg Lady Trojans overwhelmed the spirited but over-matched Lady Barons at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School on Tuesday, 56-28.
Gaithersburg's back-court duo of Colleen Marshall and Deja Rollins helped the Lady Trojans streak to a 13-2 lead after the first quarter. Gaithersburg built its lead to 32-11 at the half as Coach Adrian McDaniel began rotating in his deep bench.
Jackie Jackson took control in the paint in the third quarter. McDaniel then cleared the Gaithersburg bench in the fourth quarter, providing the team's younger players with some valuable minutes.
The win moves the Lady Trojans to 18-0 on the season, while extending their winning streak to 43 games. They host Walt Whitman High School at 7pm on Friday.
