Izaak Walton League Hosts Family Nature Day In Gaithersburg

If you're looking to escape to the outdoors this weekend, the Izaak Walton League has the perfect solution. The Lois Green Sligo Chapter is hosting their Annual Family Nature Day this coming Saturday. The event will be held on the chapter's grounds located on Snouffer School Road, and will feature a variety of activities for all ages.

Families will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the chapter, activities and events, and membership options. There will also be free food and refreshments. The pond will be open for fishing and children under 16 may fish without a license. Families can participate in building birdhouses, hothouses, or a rain barrel. New nature camp, TimberNook of Central Maryland will be onsite offering up crafts as well as discounts for their summer programs.
