Lady Trojans Trounce Poolesville in Home Opener

Gaithersburg bested the Lady Falcons 71-42 on Friday.

On Friday, December 9, the Gaithersburg High School Lady Trojans defeated the Poolesville High School Lady Falcons 71-42 in the Lady Trojans' home opener. 

The defending Maryland 4A State Champion's seized the game early on with a stunning display of speed, skill, and athleticism while taking a commanding 22-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. 

Senior's Colleen Marshall and Jackie Jackson led a total team effort, as coach Adrian McDaniel used his deep bench to keep the Lady Falcons at bay and cruise to a 71-42 victory.

The Lady Trojans, winners of 27 consecutive games, improved to 2-0 this season.  They play at Churchill Monday night.
