Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt In Gaithersburg Collision: Police
A motorcycle rider is fighting for his life after colliding with a van in Gaithersburg, police say.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — A motorcycle rider remains in serious condition after a collision with a van in Gaithersburg, Montgomery County police say.
The incident happened around 3:47 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Shady Grove Road and Epsilon Drive.
Investigators say Kereem Cumberbatch, 31, of Frederick, was traveling on Shady Grove Road when he was hit by a 2018 Ford Transit van that was trying to make a left turn onto Epsilon Drive. Cumberbatch was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford — identified as a 71-year-old Gaithersburg resident — was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
