Man Killed In Collision Involving Ride On Bus: Police
A person died early Friday after a car collided with a Ride On bus in Gaithersburg, police said.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — A man was killed early Friday in a fatal collision involving a Ride On bus, police said.
The incident was reported around 4:45 a.m. near the intersection of Midcounty Highway and Goshen Road. The man was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Montgomery County Police said the driver of the Ride On bus, who did not suffer any injuries, had remained at the scene.

Officials have not yet identified the man who died or detailed how the crash took place.
No passengers were aboard the bus at the time of the crash, authorities said. Citing the Maryland Department of Transportation, ABC7 reported the bus had not yet made its first scheduled stop of the day.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area.
Road closures are in place on the westbound lanes of Midcounty Highway at Goshen Road, as well as near the intersection of Goshen and Emory Grove roads.
