Despite playing short-handed, the Gaithersburg Lady Trojans defeated the Quince Orchard 73-50 on Friday night on the Cougars' home court.
The Lady Trojans, already playing without Octavia Scott due to injury, had to play without Colleen Marshall for much of the game due to foul trouble. However, the Lady Trojans found a way to win, this time relying on strong performances from Jackie Jackson (20 points) and Deja Rollins (9 points), a breakout performance from Danielle Rojas (10 points), and some sharp shooting from Michelle Winters (9 points).
Janessa Fauntroy and Marshall each scored 8 points, Christine Mabry added 7 points, and Briana Jones closed out the scoring with 2 points.

After an undefeated campaign last season on their way to the Maryland 4A crown, Gaithersburg improved to 12-0 this season with a win streak that stands at 37 games.
They host the Northwest at 7pm on Friday.
