4 People Displaced, 1 Firefighter Hurt In Townhouse Fire: MCFRS
Montgomery County firefighters battled a two-alarm townhouse fire in Germantown that displaced four residents.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A townhouse fire in Germantown Tuesday night displaced four residents and caused about $200,000 in damage, according to officials.
At about 11 p.m., Montgomery County firefighters were called to a fire in the 19900 block of Appledowre Circle.
Pete Piringer, the county fire department's spokesman, said about 75 firefighters extinguished the two-alarm blaze. Three adults and a child were displaced and one firefighter suffered minor injuries.

Officials believe the cause of the fire was accidental and originated from the exterior AC/heat pump unit.
