Hyattstown Fire: $700K Damage, One Injured in Blaze
One person was injured in a Hyattstown house fire that caused $700,000 damage, authorities say.
HYATTSTOWN, MD — One person was injured in a Hyattstown house fire that caused $700,000 damage, authorities say. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services spokesman Pete Piringer said one person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while a second person who was feared missing was located unharmed.
According to Piringer, the fire was reported after 2 a.m. on Monday in the 26400 block of Hanes Road. He said damage is estimated at $700,000.
The house was totally engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived, officials said.
