$6K in Heroin, Crack Cocaine Found After Police Chase
Two men driving a stolen car caused numerous crashes in Glen Burnie, police say; authorities found heroin and crack cocaine in their car.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Two men driving a stolen car caused numerous crashes in Glen Burnie as they tried to flee an Anne Arundel County Police car, officials say. Once officers caught up to the suspects, they found about $6,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine in the car.
An officer reportedly saw two suspicious men in a vehicle at the Days Inn, 6600 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie Tuesday afternoon. When police checked the vehicle's registration they found it was reported stolen out of Baltimore, and the suspects fled. As the pair tried to evade police, their vehicle crashed into several other vehicles on Ritchie Highway and Ordinance Road.
With the suspect vehicle disabled, the occupants ran from the scene but were soon caught by pursuing officers.

As a result of the arrest and search of the stolen vehicle, officers seized 485 capsules of suspected heroin with a street value estimated at $4,850, 57 vials of suspected crack cocaine worth an estimated $1,140, and a stolen handgun, police say.

- Kareem Omar Spratley, 24, of Baltimore, faces 12 criminal counts, including motor vehicle theft, drug possession with intent to distribute narcotics, possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, felon in possession of a firearm.
- Sidney Lamon Joyner Jr., 22, of no fixed address, faces 15 criminal counts, including drug possession with intent to distribute narcotics, drug possession - large amount and drug possession not marijuana, illegal possession of a regulated firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.
