Anne Arundel Officials Host National Night In: Build Back Better
Officials will discuss disaster planning, crime prevention, emergency response and answer residents' questions.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Since Anne Arundel County officials canceled National Night Out this year due to the coronavirus, they are hosting National Night In: Build Back Better on Facebook Live Aug. 11 at 6 p.m.
National Night Out organizers recommended that all of its participating communities bump their events to later this year due to the coronavirus and many police departments are moving their activities to Oct. 6. Events typically are held on the first Tuesday in August and are designed to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement.
Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman will be joined by Anne Arundel County Office of Emergency Management Director Preeti Emrick, Anne Arundel County Fire Chief Trisha Wolford and Anne Arundel County Interim Police Chief William Lowery. They'll discuss disaster planning, crime prevention, emergency response and answer residents' questions.
