GLEN BURNIE, MD — Anne Arundel County Fire officials have released video of a person suspected of starting an arson fire that damaged cars and a townhouse. The blaze was reported about 5 a.m. Friday on Wisdom Court in Glen Burnie.

Firefighters found a vehicle parked in the driveway on fire. Fire investigators determined that fire was intentionally set. Two other vehicles were damaged, along with an adjacent townhome. A resident was nearly trapped inside the structure, authorities said.

Security camera video released shows a person wearing hoodie walking around a car in a driveway, carrying what appears to be a gasoline can. The suspect appears to pour gas on and around the car, stuff a towel into its gas tank and drape it onto the gas can. The footage shows the suspect igniting the gas, which flashes at the back of the car, and the person runs off.
