Baltimore Man Shot In Glen Burnie: Police

A Baltimore man shot in Glen Burnie was driven to a hospital by a friend, police say.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Baltimore man was driven to Baltimore Washington Medical Center Monday afternoon by a friend after being shot, according to Anne Arundel County Police. The shooting reportedly happened about 2:45 p.m. in the 7200 block of Furnace Branch Road in Glen Burnie.

The 22-year-old victim is in serious, but not life-threatening, condition, police said. Authorities say he was shot in the upper body and leg. When officers tried to talk to the man, he reportedly refused to give them any information about the shooting. As a precaution the victim was transferred to Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment.

Authorities have not said if there is a suspect being sought, or what events preceded the shooting.

Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and not a random act.
