Double Homicide In Glen Burnie; Victims Targeted Police Say

A man was found shot to death in a Glen Burnie parking lot, and another was found dead in a nearby apartment, Anne Arundel Police say.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A man was found shot to death Sunday in a Glen Burnie parking lot, and another was found dead in a nearby apartment, Anne Arundel County Police say. Gunshots were reported shortly before 5 p.m. on March 24 in the 300 block of Highland Drive, where police found a man killed by apparent gunshot wounds lying in the parking lot.

The victim was identified as Antwon Elijah Queen, 20, from the 500 block of Baltic Avenue in Brooklyn.

A second man was found dead within an apartment complex also in the 300 block of Highland Drive. He was identified as Antwan Troy Briggs, 24, with no fixed address.

An autopsy is scheduled for March 25 to determine the exact cause and manner of each death, police said.

Anne Arundel County homicide detectives and evidence technicians worked through the night. A search of the area led police to interview several witnesses. Preliminary information suggests this was a targeted incident and not a random act of violence, authorities said.
