Former Martial Arts Instructor Sentenced For Having Sexual Relations with Minor

A former martial arts instructor at an Edgewater studio was sentenced to 10 days in jail for having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

Jason Webb, 27, turned himself in to authorities Feb. 20 after an arrest warrant was issued.

Webb pleaded guilty to the third-degree sex offense and was ordered at a sentencing Wednesday in Anne Arundel Circuit Court to register as a sex-offender for the next 25 years.

Webb began his relationship with the girl, whom he met during classes, in July 2013. The investigation against Webb began in Oct. 2013, when authorities received a report of child sexual abuse.

The Capital Gazette said that Webb apologized in court for his actions, saying he made an irresponsible decision.
