A former Davidsonville man accused of sexually abusing niece has been sentenced to 18 years in prison. He fled to California until his niece revealed to her therapist about the rape that started when she was 5 years old. It was then found out he had sexually abused another member of his family. A 15 year old was shot early Sunday morning. His injuries were described as non-life threatening. He was walking home from a friend's house near the area near Elvaton Road and Highland Drive. If anyone has any information, call the police. (Glen Burnie Patch)
A man and women from Glen Burnie were found passed out in their car in Pasadena. The man had what was thought to be a weapon behind his legs. It was later confirmed to be a paintball rifle. Heroin and Xanax were also found in the car. Both were arrested. (Fox Baltimore)
Swastikas were found painted on the road and building in the Elvaton Towne community. Clean up was to begin Monday. If anyone has any information please contact the police. (Glen Burnie Patch)

Tragic passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters at the age of 50 years old. The cause of death is unknown at this time. It is known that he apparently had chest pains and did call for aid. Unfortunately, aid did not come fast enough, Hawkins passed before they arrived. (AA First Alerts/Facebook)

Glen Burnie drive in was opened in May 14, 1939 and closed in December 18, 1983. It was located at the corner of Ritchie Highway and Furnace Branch Road. It was replaced with a Hechinger hardware store, which has since closed. Chesapeake Square, Walgreens and a storage building now sit where this treasured landmark used to be. (cinema treasures)
