Glen Burnie Man Facing Theft And Kidnapping Charges: Police
A Glen Burnie man was charged with attempted kidnapping and robbery after he targeted a woman who was standing near her car, police said.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Damien Eldridge, a 44-year-old man from Glen Burnie, is facing several charges after he attempted to force a woman into a parked car before stealing her phone.
Court records show Eldridge is facing six charges, two of which are felonies. Charges include kidnapping, robbery, second-degree assault, false imprisonment, malicious destruction of property, and theft.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department said in a Wednesday release that the incident unfolded Tuesday morning near Old Stage and Baylor roads in Glen Burnie.

Eldridge approached the woman and tried to force her into her car. However, when she managed to get away, Eldridge chased her down Old Stage Road on foot.
Although Eldridge did leave the scene after he caught up to the woman and stole her phone, police found him "a short distance away," according to the release.

Eldridge remains held without bond.
