Grocery Store Robbed, Glen Burnie Man Arrested
A Glen Burnie man has been charged with grabbing cash from a grocery store register, police say.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Glen Burnie man has been arrested after he allegedly grabbed cash from a grocery store register in a failed robbery attempt, police say. The theft happened about 5 p.m Wednesday at the Aldi store at 6629 Ritchie Hwy., Glen Burnie.
Anne Arundel County Police say a man approached the counter to purchase an item. When the clerk opened the register, the man reportedly grabbed cash from the register and fled from the store.
No weapons were displayed during the theft, police said. Officers quickly located Kevin Jason Sherrill, 54, of the 400 block Morris Hill Avenue, a short distance away from the store and arrested him.

No injuries were reported as a result of the robbery.
