Head-On Glen Burnie Crash Traps Two Victims

Two people were trapped ina vehicle Tuesday night following a head-on crash in Glen Burnie, says the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Two people were trapped in their vehicle Tuesday night following a head-on crash in Glen Burnie, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

The accident happened at Quarterfield Road and Thelma Avenue around 7:55 p.m. Responders say a head-on collision involving a sedan and a minivan trapped the two occupants in the minivan. The 50-year-old female driver and the 53-year-old male passenger were both extricated by firefighters in about 15 minutes.

Paramedics took both patients to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with injuries that were considered non-life-threatening, fire officials say. There were no other injuries requiring hospital transport.

Authorities have not released the names of the people involved in the crash or its cause.
