Man Suffered Burns On Hands During Glen Burnie House Fire

A fire broke out in the living room of a Glen Burnie townhome Monday. The man living there suffered minor burns to his hands.

GLEN BURNIE, MD— A resident of a townhouse in Glen Burnie suffered burns to his hands during a fire that broke out shortly before 11 p.m. Monday. The two-story middle-of-the-row townhome at 8185 Turn Loop Rd. caught on fire Dec. 16 and 47 firefighters from two departments battled the blaze. According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, the fire broke out in the living room and spread to the second floor.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to the adjacent townhomes. The man living there declined transportation to the hospital for treatment of the minor burns on his hands. He has been displaced and is being assisted by the Red Cross. The cause of the fire is being investigated by members of the Anne Arundel County Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit.
