MD Man Facing Attempted Murder Charge After Family Dispute
A Glen Burnie man was hospitalized Tuesday after firing off shots inside a home following a dispute with family members, police said.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Glen Burnie man is facing attempted murder charges after he fired off gunshots Tuesday inside a home following an argument with family members.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department said the incident broke out on the 1000 block of Nancy Road in Glen Burnie, with officers responding to the scene at about 7 a.m.
A release issued by the department indicates that "multiple" shots were fired in the home with family members still present. Officers helped one person leave the home after two women had already managed to leave the area before police arrived.

Multiple special response teams were called to the home, including crisis intervention authorities.
Police said the man, who has not been identified, suffered serious self-inflicted injuries during the incident. He was hospitalized and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A search of the home resulted in the recovery of a 12-gauge shotgun that police believed was used in the shooting. The department said it will not identify and officially charge the man until he is released from the hospital.
