Pedestrian Fatally Struck In Glen Burnie: Police

(Updated at 5:03 p.m. Monday) GLEN BURNIE, MD — A fatal pedestrian collision occurred on Route 100 Saturday afternoon, police said.

Firefighters responded to the area of Route 100 and Oakwood Road for a pedestrian struck just after 4:10 p.m. Paramedics declared a female estimated to be in her late 20s deceased on the scene, police said.

Police said the woman was suffering from a "mental health crisis" and intentionally walked into the path of a Ford E250 van. The occupants in the van were not injured, police said.
