Pizza Driver Chases Off 5 Robbers With Baseball Bat

Five robbers struck out when a pizza delivery driver in Glen Burnie took out a baseball bat, police say.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Pizza Boli's delivery driver fended off five would-be robbers with a baseball bat, say Anne Arundel County Police. Officers are searching for five males who confronted the driver after he tried to deliver a pizza at 411 Kent Road, but received no response.

As the driver returned to his vehicle, five males approached him, one of whom displayed a dark object. Police didn't specify if the object was believed to be a gun. A second suspect opened a door to the victim’s vehicle, but the driver took a baseball bat out of his vehicle and all five suspects fled the scene.

Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate any of the suspects. The victim was not hurt.
